This event has one main focus and that is for children to get outdoors,
play, learn and deepen their relationship (even if it's a tiny bit)
with the natural world. There will be crafts, interactive games,
reptiles, bugs, naturalists and educators from the region and four
acres of grass, trees and dirt to play with.
If you know of child who might like to get outdoors and have some fun,
please pass on the information in the attached flier. The festival
will take place at the Davis Waldorf School in Davis. Please RSVP by
e-mail:

Also, we are still looking for a few people who would like to help
during the event. We need people who would like to help out for a two
hour shift in the crafts, food or interactive booth area. Here's an
example of an interactive booth. It's called the TWO SENSE CHALLENGE.
Kids come up to the booth and close their eyes. They have to identify
two different items using a sense other than sight. For example,
they would need to identify the scent of popcorn or chocolate. If
they are successful (and everyone is) each child will receive two cents.
Let me know if you're interested in helping out in any way.. It's very
satisfying watching the excitement in the eyes of a child as he/she
discovers more about the natural world.
