We currently have six staff members:
Tessa is a third year Sociology and Spanish double major, and this year’s Director. Outside of CCE, she likes to garden, rock climb, cook, and read a good book. She’s also involved with Amigos de las Americas, which is a pretty neat organization that does community development work in Latin America. Tessa’s your go to girl for all things sustainability, and you can reach her at tjartale [at] ucdavis [dot] edu.
Hannah is a fourth year Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning major, with an emphasis in City and Regional Planning. Besides CCE, she is involved with the California Student Sustainability Coalition. In her spare time, she likes to go hiking, snowboarding, drink coffee and tell bad jokes. You can reach her at hmoakes [at] ucdavis [dot] edu.
Genna Lipari is a fourth year Sustainable Agriculture and Food System Major, planning to graduate this spring! She is passionate about issues surrounding food access and health as well as environmental impacts of large scale agriculture. She is excited by the power of education and hopes to learn to communicate and message more effectively through her position as the Sustainable Education and Research Coordinator. And of course, she is excited to be a part of CCE this year and work with so many fantastic ladies!
Krysla is a fourth year International Agricultural Development major with a specialization on rural communities. She coordinates the volunteers of the Green Team and works with the Resident Segundo Garden as a garden coordinator. In addition to her work with CCE, Krysla is an intern with Fresh Spin Farms as a program developer. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and hula hooping. You may contact her at klgrothe [at] ucdavis [dot] edu or become a part of the Green Team by emailing her at cce.volunteers [at] gmail [dot] com.
Samantha is a fourth year Viticulture and Enology major from Santa Monica, CA. Sam is the Sustainability Advisor for CCE. If you’re are planning an event and would like to make it Zero Waste, Sam would love to help. She’s in charge of CCE’s compostables and reusable items program. If you have ideas about how to make the campus more sustainable or would like more information about how to get involved, you can reach her at srubanowitz [at] ucdavis [dot] edu
Maisie is a second year Environmental Science and Management major. As the Club Coordinator, she is working to create a network of sustainably-minded clubs, so if you or someone you know is interested in getting involved she is your girl! Maisie enjoys live music, conspiracy theories and “a good stumble sesh while listening to NPR.” Feel free to contact Maisie at maborg [at] ucdavis [dot] edu
