Botany Club and Environmental Horticulture Club |
|
Mission:
The Botany Club and Environmental Horticulture Club are merging. Together we are a people friendly and plant friendly club for anyone with an interest in plants. Our meetings are open to everyone, and are held on the announced dates. Most meetings feature a guest speaker who is knowledgeable in a particular botanical or environmental field, and the informal setting allows members and speakers to interact. The club also organizes exploratory field trips and events for members, usually offering longer trips over the spring and winter breaks.
We welcome anyone with an interest in plants to join the merging Botany and Environmental Horticulture Club. Our members include undergraduate and graduate students, as well as university staff, faculty, and alumni. For those interested in a career in botany or environmental horticulture, we collect and share information about research, scholarships, internships and jobs. The club also provides a great opportunity for members to share advice and opinions about plant-related courses.
