Recycling
Although recycling is not without environmental problems, it is a way to keep most things out of the landfills and into a new product. As technology advances, recycling becomes more efficient.
On the UC Davis campus, there are many places to sort your recycling especially around and in the Memorial Union and around the Silo.
Most bins on campus ask to sort glass and cans, paper, and landfill waste.
Multi-bins on campus accept CDs, small electronics, inkjet cartilages, and batteries. These bins are located at the ARC, Earth and Physical Sciences Building, MU, Peter J. Shields Library, Plant and Environmental Science Building, the Silo, and Tercero Commons. http://campusmap.ucdavis.edu/sustainability/
Batteries can also be recycled off campus at Rite-Aid and CVS
Yolo County Landfill will accept small electronics and cell phones free of charge
Davis Waste Removal will accept bulkier items
