Campus Center for the Environment is a student-run, student-funded environmental advocacy unit of the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis (ASUCD) that promotes student involvement in our campus sustainability efforts. CCE encourages environmental stewardship through workshops, open dialogue, and specific student led projects. We also encourage inter-group collaboration between environmental and sustainability focused student groups and relevant departments on campus
In the Fall of 2015, former independent ASUCD units Project Compost and CCE merged. Project Compost continues to operate as a strong part of CCE through action (weekly compost pick ups) and education (quarterly composting workshops). Please visit the Project Compost tab and website at projectcompost.ucdavis.edu for more information.
Our unit located in the the EcoHub, which is a collection of environmentally-minded ASUCD units, including Whole Earth Festival, Aggie Reuse Store, and Experimental College. The EcoHub is a supportive space for students to study, hangout, learn more about our unit, and connect with other like minded individuals.
We hold meetings every Monday evening at 5:00 PM in the EcoHub. During meetings, we discuss future events, volunteering opportunities, and engage in sustainability-minded workshops and open discussions, over snacks! All are encouraged to join our meetings.
