Where do I take trash?
There is no trash service in the the garden. Please bring all trash home. Temporary dumpsters are available to gardeners several times a year (contact the Garden Director for more information).
Where do I take green waste?
Compost in your plot if possible. If composting is not an option (diseased plants), please take home or keep until a dumpster is available. Please be considerate of your community and do not dump green waste anywhere in the garden outside your plot.
Where do I take tree trimmings?
Tree trimmings make free and environmentally friendly poles, trellises, and fences. If you cannot use them in your plot, please take them to the wood pile located at the front of the garden where they will be chipped. Please no lumber, wood with nails, or green waste in the wood pile. Also, please be considerate and do not dump tree trimmings or lumber anywhere in the garden outside your plot.
Where is the tool shed located?
The tool shed is located in the center of the garden. Gardeners have access to wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, and lots of other garden tools!
How do I clean tools from the tool shed?
To clean tools, dip in the box of dry dirt and use the wire brushes to scrape clean.
Are wood chips and cow manure available at the garden?
Yes! Free wood chips and cow manure are available at the northwest outskirts of the garden.
What is the gardener's responsibility in the maintenance of water spigots?
The Garden provides and maintains the water infrastructure including water spigots. Gardeners are responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and replacing splitters, hoses, irrigation, and nozzles. Please report leaks to the Garden Director.
